We want to update you on what’s happening at Shemen due to the recent Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreaks

Our policy at Shemen Dental Group has always been to provide our patients with the highest quality of care, while keeping you, as well as our staff, safe and informed. We have always made cleanliness and sanitary practices our top priority, while making sure our staff are well trained in safety procedures, which comes in handy in times like these.

Currently we are providing only emergency dental care

What constitutes a dental emergency?
Are your symptoms are considered an emergency? Typical symptoms of dental emergencies may include:

  • Pain
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Broken or cracked tooth

Aren’t sure your symptoms are considered a dental emergency?

Our staff is here to help. Please call us at (806) 358-2472 from 8am-3pm or call after hours, and one of our on-call doctors will be happy to help you determine if you need to be seen or not.

It’s important to stay healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak
One key factor in keeping yourself healthy against any illness is to reduce inflammation and infection in your body. That’s why it’s so important to see your dentist regularly. If left unchecked, inflammation can greatly reduce your body’s defense response and leave you with a compromised immune system. It’s important to start with your oral health – the gateway to your entire body. Please don’t risk your health by waiting and allowing your symptoms to worsen over time. This could cause more damage, lead to infection, and cost more money to repair when the damage gets worse.

Dental emergencies can be just as detrimental to your health as other emergencies – please don’t hesitate to call, and rest assured we will do everything we can to take care of you. From taking your temperature as soon as you walk in the door, to increased sanitization, to implementing hand sanitizing stations for all patients before they are seen, your health and well-being comes first – always has, always will.

We love taking care of Amarillo, Canyon and the Texas Panhandle and we love our patients (including children’s dentistry, teens and adults). From our dentist office to your family, stay safe and God bless you.
